The Art of Fishing

Behind the scenes of The Coarse Project is our fishing tackle shop, The Art of Fishing. Based in Wadebridge on the north coast of Cornwall, we initially grew the business in a completely different area of the sport - supplying very specialist saltwater lure fishing equipment both locally and across the Internet. We built ourselves a reputation as one of the leading and most influential retailers within lure fishing and had a big hand in the current popularity in not only bass fishing, but more specifically LRF (Light Rock Fishing).

Years down the line however, due to my own background within match fishing it feels to be time for a change! With renewed personal enthusiasm for coarse fishing and our close proximity to numerous fisheries, The Coarse Project was born.

As a result of all of this, The Art of Fishing is my place of work and the base for our coarse fishing ranges of tackle. It's not a big shop by any means and our aim is to only really be stocking ranges of tackle that I really use myself locally. I'm not sponsored by any manufacturers and the tackle that we sell is available because I use it and recommend it. As with our lure fishing department, I like the idea of selling tackle that other, perhaps more traditional shops are reluctant to sell. This will hopefully be reflected in our tackle ranges as time goes on.
